Here's just a small sampling of the projects we've done since starting up.

cupolette iron furnace

This small iron furnace is a collaboration between Irwin Design and the multi-faceted mixed media artist Mac Metz. Based on the much larger industrial cupola, this smaller counterpart is intended for use by independent artists, schools, and small metal facilities. Made of stainless steel, mild steel, and high-quality refractory materials, this 300 lb capacity iron furnace is a great addition for any small scale metal studio and pour team.

Custom outdoor pizza oven

This prototype pizza oven is the first of a new arch style design different than the traditional Italian dome style ovens. Using high quality refractory materials good to 3000º F, this oven's chamber is made from six castings, mortared together and insulated with blanket and capped with a steel shroud. This makes for a larger chamber and smaller overall profile. It can be run at pizza baking temperature with only a surface temperature of 90º F.

For those who don't want that same run of the mill pergola kit, this outdoor pergola was designed specifically for use with a hammock. The dimensions are precisely measured so that one can enjoy relaxing outside without being uncomfortable. Using quality materials and hardware, this pergola can withstand decades of abuse from rain, snow, plant growth, and even the kids.

This three-stage beer brewing stand was designed for Four Saints Brewery in Asheboro, NC. It features an all plate and sheet metal construction with pallet jack access, pump placement, and burner placement. 

custom 12' x 8' chicken house

This pole building style chicken house was designed for Moatcroft Farm in Whipple, Ohio. It is separated into two rooms - a feed/storage room, and roosting/laying room with nesting boxes and outdoor egg access. This larger chicken house design can hold approximately 40 chickens.
